VISIT: HTTP://BLOG.OPERATION-NATION.COM FOR CONTINUING TRIAL UPDATES!! Young, beautiful, "black," educated, and ambitious. The aforementioned adjectives collectively describe two not-so-very distinct types of American citizens: the type that goes on to become doctors, lawyers, engineers, professors, and Presidents; and the type that fits the perfect description inbred, Confederate Euro-American prosecutors and cops target for murder or complete destruction of their lives. As the late, great MC Trouble once said, "a white man's worst fear is an educated black man." In this case, however, she happens to be a woman. The story of the young, beautiful Ms. Heather R. Ellis, of Kennett, MO, (and the story of Clifton Williams,of Richton Park, IL) should (but won't) clearly articulate to hard-headed, inbred, Confederate Euro-Americans why Mr. Lovelle Mixon did what he did in Oakland, CA earlier this year and why Mr. Christopher John Monfort did what he did (that is IF he really did it) in Seattle, WA a couple weeks ago. Ms. Ellis, 24, was on a semester break from Xavier University in Louisiana back on January 6, 2007, when she returned home to Kennett, MO to visit family. That night, she and her 15-year-old cousin went to Wal-Mart to get a few items. What happened from there is the reason the U.S. Justice System is no better than that of Iraq, Somalia, North Korea, or Russia. Welcome to Ubuntu: One Woman’s Motorcycle Odyssey Across Africa at Virtual Overland Expo Summer! Renowned motorcycle adventurer tells her story of crossing Africa in the 90's. The idea to ride a motorcycle across Africa came to Heather Ellis while working at a remote mine in northern Australia. Even though she had never done any long-distance motorcycle travel before, the idea felt just right. What unfolded as she rode her Yamaha TT600 from south to north Africa for 42,000 kilometers over 15 months, was a journey not only filled with survival-against-the-odds adventures, but also a deeply spiritual experience of personal growth where she finds ubuntu, the universal bond that connects all of humanity as one. Heather’s travels took her to the dizzying heights of Mt Kilimanjaro and the Rwenzori Mountains, to the deserts of northern Kenya where she was befriended by armed bandits, to a voyage on a ‘floating village’ on the mighty Zaire River. Everywhere she went Heather was aided by locals and travelers alike, who took her into their homes and hearts, helping her to truly understand the spirit of ubuntu—a Bantu word meaning ‘I am because we are’. Australian motorcycle adventurer and author, Heather Ellis has traveled across Africa, Europe and Central Asia on her Yamaha TT600. She learned to ride motorcycles while living on a sheep station in outback Australia, the same riding conditions she encountered twenty years later in Africa. After Africa, Heather worked as a London motorcycle courier (it was all part of the journey), then packed her TT600 to ride the ancient Silk Roads of Central Asia to Vietnam. Heather Ellis is the author of Ubuntu: One Woman’s Motorcycle Odyssey Across Africa and Timeless On The Silk Road. She and her three teenage boys live near Melbourne, Australia, in the Yarra Ranges where some of the world’s best motorcycling roads are on her doorstep. While writing her next book, Heather works in communications and is often seen riding her Triumph Thruxton through the ‘twisties’. And as for her trusty Yamaha TT600? He waits patiently in her garage for their next adventure: the Americas. 💥Make sure to tune in to our Instagram account all day long to watch all of the IG-Lives where we are giving away a ton of cool prizes and interviewing overlanders and exhibitors alike!💥 https://www.instagram.com/overlandexpo We hope you have enjoyed this course offering from Virtual Overland Expo Summer. Release muscle tension and restriction. You'll need 2 rubber therapy balls (or large bouncy balls). These are cheap and easy to find. If you have 2, you can put them in a sock and tie it off to use for these practices. www.ScienceofSelf.Yoga

SUMMARY On today’s podcast we have the adventurous Heather Ellis. Heather is a communications specialist with a degree in journalism, and is the author of two books: ‘Ubuntu’ which details her motorcycle journey from south to north Africa and ‘Timeless On The Silk Road’ which details her motorcycle journey along the fabled Silk Roads of antiquity. What I personally love about this conversation is Heather’s courage shown throughout her motorcycling journeys. She travels on her motorcycle throughout some of the most fascinating and symbolic places on Earth, and it is in this conversation that we go deeper on her thoughts, reflections and experiences of travelling solo through Africa; a continent that has many a contrasting opinion, but one that is not truly ever known unless stepped onto. The culture, the history, the characters and the inevitable self-development and growth that comes from such places. Heather also shares very openly about finding out at 30 years-old that she had contracted HIV and how this diagnosis silenced her. She shares how it fuelled fear of shame, disapproval, rejection and isolation. All things that are not Ubuntu; Ubuntu being “I am because we are”; the essence of being human. Please enjoy this conversation on the To Be Human Podcast with the lovely Heather Ellis. #jennahlouise #tobehumanpodcast

One of the biggest challenges in organising a party can be the range of children that will be attending, as Best Party Hire customer, Heather Ellis discovered. Fortunately, we were able to help with something to keep all ages amused and entertained. Best Party Hire supplied soft play hire to fire the imagination of the littlest guests, along with a bouncy castle to help the older children to burn off all that excess energy, and Heather was delighted with it all. As a play leader, she was impressed with both the quality and cleanliness of all the Best Party Hire equipment, ensuring her charges were safe. She was also pleased with the service and the way our friendly team set everything up to make the most of the space available. So if you have a mixed age range to entertain at your event, talk to our friendly team about the best party package for you.
