If you’re passionate about bees, plants, ecology, or sustainable beekeeping, this film explores the deeper connections between nectar, honey, and health. Can the flowers bees forage on affect their health? 🐝 This project began with a question: what happens when we feed honeybees refined sugar instead of nectar? Beekeepers often face a difficult choice — take more honey, or leave enough for the bees to survive winter. Sugar candy is widely used as a supplement, but unlike nectar, it lacks the complex trace elements, volatile oils, and antimicrobial compounds found in honey. Could this routine practice be harming bee health? 🌿 In this film, I explore the relationship between plants, nectar, and bee well-being through the lens of Goethean science.
