Description
Ordained in 1979, I've stepped down from the pulpit to continue serving on a different field. We are homesteading a vintage farm in Northeast Texas. I'm also an author with several books in print under my real name, Tyler Woods. Another hat I wear is Preparedness Author/Conference Speaker and from time to time I travel and sign some books.
Our life is anything but linear. You never know what the next video will cover but this life of ours (as Sgt. Schultz would say) is "very interesting."

Though I haven't had a cold or allergy problem in years, something sneaked in and sat all night on my stomach's eject button. This morning is a bit better but I'm in no shape for a livestream. My apologies and I hope to be with you again on Tuesday.

Driving in snow for our southern friends:
Snow just isn't common in southern states but it does happen. I was stationed at Keesler AFB in Biloxi MS when they publicly shut down all non emergency driving due to the horribly unsafe driving conditions due to 4" of snow.
Southern drivers aren't any different than northern drivers but they are not accustomed to driving in snow.
In one piece of advice, I can transform my southern friends who may be terrified by the white world of snow, into comfortable and fearless drivers.
Here it is: Snow is just cold white mud. Every southerner knows how to drive in mud and snow isn't that different.
And for those who don't know how to give their dogs an insulated house during cold nights....

Bracing for the storm:
Lamps ready in case the lights go out....
Essentials and equipment that works on the wood stove....
Barter stock for anything else we could need...
Yup! We're ready here.

I can't be with you today. This is getting both old and repetitive but Terry's insomnia hit again last night. It's a quarter to five in the morning and neither of us has gotten to sleep yet. Terry can't and I won't. Letting her sit up awake and alone just isn't going to happen. We thought it had passed because she's had four nights in a row where she got to sleep quickly and slept soundly 'till morning. Perhaps this is a singular event.... Prayers appreciated.

Thank you for sharing the tour of your new place. Enjoyed seeing your animals. They look happy to be there. It's a lovely place. I know that you and Terry are going to enjoy being there. I hope you're not working too hard now so that you can enjoy it even though you're not fully settled in. I'm looking forward to seeing the tour of your house once you empty your boxes and get organized. And I'm looking forward to our Bible study when you are ready.

Wow, what a beautiful place you have there. Looks like the animals are happy. I will continue to keep you and Ms Terry in my prayers. May the Lord continue to give you both strength to move and unpack everything. And then give you strength to repair and make improvements. Hang in there Pastor Woods.
