My only issue with Zelda 2 was how different it was from the first game. I didn't find it all that difficult myself. It just wasn't what I wanted. I wanted more of the original style game.

I don't know if it does. I tried it out of curiosity, and I hit him once, but then he jumped into the corner and I had to walk right. Ironically, I forced HIM into the corner and defeated him that way.

this is really neat to see this. so many subtle differences compared to nes version. you can strike enemies that nes required fire to strike, the way you pick up the extra life, the big flying skull gave you points, the sound effects of course, ect. awesome.

Oh, it works, but I don't use it. I consider it cheating. I beat him without using that trick.

I think I know who you mean by "James". He can't beat it straight through, but if he uses a Power Glove and NOT pay any attention to this game, he'd win without knowing how he did it.

I read that the stupid corner trick doesn't work against Dark Link in this version.  Too bad it wasn't fixed in the cart version.

I thought this was even better than the first game. It is one of my favorite NES games.
