Hello Escapist audience!
First off, if you stuck around after the old team left, I wanted to thank you for giving us a shot. Second, if you’re one of the many people who have left kind words on videos or reached out personally, we truly appreciate it. It wasn’t necessary but it really gave us a boost in confidence.
It has been no easy task to takeover such an iconic brand. We’re still finding our groove with it all to be honest! Currently, we’re just a 2 person team (Brett and Dan). Our plan right now is to adapt site content to video (like the channel had done in the past) and create original content with my (Brett Medlock) personal views.
Right now, I’m also doing most of the voice-over for the channel because we're such a small team. But I'm hoping to include more writers from the site and new voices and creators in the future. Whoever’s opinion I’m voicing will always be in the credits at the end! For example: I did not review Dragon’s Dogma II or Eiyuden Chronicles, I only lent my voice.
As for 'my' content - So far I've covered the sketchy nature of digital gaming and analyzed Stellar Blade purely from a gameplay perspective. As well as gave my input on the rumored RE5 remake. My next video will discuss the absence of great pacing in modern gaming. I hope you look forward to it!
We’re going to continue to test out new ideas and video styles. Possibly some Shorts too. However, Dan and I create most of the social video content at as well, so new content on The Escapist might be slow to rollout, but we really appreciate your patience and understanding. ANY feedback is appreciated.
Hope this clears things up a little and I hope you stick around. Rest assured more reviews, opinion videos, and voices are coming!

It's so surreal that one of the most unreasonably criticized games was reasonably criticized by Yahtzee, a guy who's whole shtick is unreasonably nitpicky criticism.
