Creators, we're updating Channel Memberships pricing! We’re beginning to roll out these changes to new international market prices to better reflect current global exchange rates. This update aims to ensure global fairness and helps sustain your channel's long-term growth.
Here’s what this means for you:
- Existing Members: Your current members’ prices won’t change at this time. (Note: if a viewer cancels and rejoins later, they will be charged the newly updated price).
- New Members: Viewers joining your channel for the first time will see the newly updated prices tailored to their specific country.
- New Pricing Controls: We heard your feedback! You no longer have to delete a level (and lose your existing community) just to change your price. You now have the flexibility to adjust your level prices for new members once every 12 months.
You can check YouTube Studio to review your updates and recommended prices. These changes will be rolling out over the next few weeks, so if you don’t see them now, please check back. Learn more about these changes here:

YouTube Creators
Streamers: Side-by-side ads are now available to live streams on mobile devices, as well as low and ultra-low latency streams!
What you need to know:
- Following last year's rollout for desktop and TV, side-by-side ads now automatically take the place of fullscreen mid-rolls on eligible mobile live streams across all latencies:

This new way to serve mid-roll ads is less disruptive and replaces our existing fullscreen mid-roll ad breaks.
- Side-by-side ads will only be shown on live streams; they won’t be served on VODs or Shorts.
- Side-by-side ads will be enabled automatically on eligible streams if you have mid-rolls enabled on your live stream:

(Note: This must be enabled before the stream begins; otherwise, fullscreen mid-rolls will be served). You can enable mid-rolls by following the instructions here:

Impact for your audiences:
- During a side-by-side ad break, the video player will shrink and the ad will run alongside the stream.
- The audio of the stream will be muted while the audio from the ad plays, then the video player will expand back and audio of the stream will be restored when the ad break has ended or the ad has been skipped.
- Live chat is disabled while the ad is running on Living room (unaffected for web and mobile).
We think this update will improve the viewing experience for your live stream audiences, so we hope you’re as excited about side-by-side ads as we are!

Try these tips for your next post:
- Share more with carousels: Upload up to 10 images in a single carousel to help tell your story.
- Set the tone with music: Pair images with royalty-free music from the YouTube Audio Library or using Dream Track in eligible markets.
- Add text overlays: Place text directly onto your images so your audience can follow along as they swipe.

Oh I thought it was just me. I was trying to figure out how this is better. I've been struggling with it for months. I just attributed it to a "learning curve". I finally stopped to view the comments and so glad I did.

The "Classic" version worked perfectly for my needs. Summary of useful information without having to bounce back and forth through the google screens. Trashing something useful is madness.

oh man, i'm so excited to use the "improved" youtube studio!!! it's so new and improved that it's difficult to navigate and is still missing many important features of the classic studio! it's so cool to be forcibly downgraded because the developers really want people to notice how hard they worked on the studio, even though it's significantly worse than the classic studio!

I've been seeing creators say that they can put a thumbnail in their shorts. However I went to my channel, I clicked on my shorts, I clicked on the edit, and I don't see anywhere that I can put a thumbnail in.
