Took delivery on a pedersoli Kentucky flintlock today you answered my question about the necessity of removing the barrel for proper cleaning, something I was hesitant to do because of the small pins and possible damage to the stock

I use a plastic turkey baster with a big squeeze ball on one end. I use boiling water and laundry detergent and the pressure from the baster does a great job on the barrel. The best thing about black powder is you are always learning. Thanks and keep your powder dry.

Great cleaning sequence, and very simple too! Thanks for sharing your info it really makes a difference in how fast one can learn the right way to keep the smoke pole in good condition!

Thank you so much for your take on cleaning. Its much better than other ways I’ve seen I just cleaned my Hawken just like you would and it solved a ton of issues. Thanks so much.
