PocketLilith Just a reminder that Hamas (formerly a branch of the Muslim Brotherhood iirc) has tried countless times to broker peace. Time and time again, they've given Isreal everything they could ask for, even when they had no right asking for it. It was never their land. Maybe in some vague, imaginary sense as purported by their silly book, but not in any way tangibly connected to reality. Isreal is a fundamentally imperialist and horrific nation. It does not care. It is the arm of genocide for Western nations, and it has done its job extremely well. Every single time, they've taken more than was offered. Every single time, Isreal's taken advantage of the kindness displayed by the Palestinian government. Not because they're evil or anything like that, but because some guys in Britain wanted votes. Because people felt guilty for the crimes they might have committed if things fell differently. Then, eventually, because it made a lot of dollars and a lot of cents. Critical support to Hamas and uncritical support to the Palestinians, goodness knows they need it. Everybody on earth knows that this won't stop anything. Hell, if things do stop, this is likely a convenient excuse to say "We've stolen what we needed and killed who we wanted". Nobody, and I mean nobody, who's claimed they're doing it for "hostages" or "to stop terrorism" ever did it for that reason.
