Amma
The lights still burn over the empty mandapam. The hour is late — somewhere past the world's reckoning of time. And Amma walks the long carpet home, between two rows of children who cannot quite bear to let Her go.
For two weeks, she has sat. Hours stretched into hours, days into days. From Mangaluru to Kozhikode, Thrissur to Ernakulam — they came. The young, the old. The grieving, the hopeful. Hindus, Christians, Muslims; Indians, foreigners; the wealthy and the broken. Women clutching wedding photographs, men whose tears would not come in any other lap, children who climbed onto Her shoulder as if returning to a memory older than this birth.
And one by one, She held them all.
Look closely at Her white saree, and you will see — those are not stains. They are stories. The salt of a widow's weeping. The kohl of a tired mother. The forehead-mark of a boy whose father is dying. The trembling sweat of a hand that held Hers too tightly because it had nothing else left to hold. Every fold of that cloth is a register of human sorrow, lovingly received and quietly carried away.
But it is not only sorrows She has gathered. Across these cities, hope has been kindled too. Sarees placed in the hands of thousands of AmritaSREE women. Saplings handed to the next generation. Welfare projects launched for children awaiting cardiac surgery, coastal families relearning the sea, those whose minds need tending as much as their bodies. Where the Mother walked, the wounded were lifted; where She sat, new beginnings were born.
And now She walks. Slowly. Looking still into each face, smiling that smile, Her hand reaching out — as it always does — to brush a cheek, to clasp a palm, to touch one more child before the night is done. The children fold their palms. Some weep openly. Some only watch — already counting the days until the next glimpse, the next time the doors will open and the Mother will return.
She is going home to Amritapuri. But She is not leaving.
Because in every city She touched, in every heart She held, in every promise She kept — the Mother stays.

Amma
The two-day Annual Brahmasthanam Festival at Edappally drew to a close in the loving presence of Amma — bringing the curtains down on Her 13-day Bharat Yatra across four cities.
"Love is the capital of life," Amma said in Her benedictory address. "If we lose it, we become completely bankrupt. We should strive to earn more of the profit called love and fill the treasury of our hearts." True growth in society, She reminded, can come only through sharing.
Amma was welcomed and honoured by distinguished guests from political, judicial and cultural spheres — MLAs T.J. Vinod and Deepak Joy; Justice C.N. Ramachandran; retired Justice P.R. Raman; Kochi Mayor V.K. Minimol; renowned film director Jayaraj; actress Amala Paul; Kochi Metro MD Loknath Behera IPS; Dr. K.K. Saju, Vice-Chancellor of Kannur University; C.K.V. Pradeep Kumar, Director of Central Warehousing Corporation; and Venugopal C. Govind.
As part of the festival, sarees were lovingly distributed to AmritaSREE members from Ernakulam district, and saplings were handed out as part of World Environment Day observances. Hundreds of devotees also took part in the Shani Dosha Nivarana Puja held at the Brahmasthanam.
What followed was meditation, bhajans, and Amma's tireless darshan — which continued unbroken into the early hours of the morning, the Mother embracing every soul who had come.
#Amma had set forth from Amritapuri on May 26 for the Mangaluru Brahmasthanam Mahotsavam, and journeyed onward through Kozhikode and Thrissur before arriving in Kochi. After thirteen days of grace across four cities, the Mother has now returned home to Amritapuri — leaving behind, in each place She touched, the fragrance of love that does not fade. 🙏

Holding the world one hug at a time – the same smile, the same undimmed energy, the same total attention for the first person in the line and the last, no matter how long the night of darshan becomes. Amma's Darshan continues at Ernakulam Brahmasthanam Festival.

Amma
Under the divine presence of Amma, the Annual Brahmasthanam Festival began on a deeply devotional note at the Ernakulam Brahmasthanam, with thousands gathered to receive the Mother's grace.
In Her message, Amma spoke of the futility of bargaining with Nature. "Human beings try to resolve their differences through negotiations and compromises," She said. "And now we are attempting the same approach with Nature. Negotiations may work between people, communities, political parties and nations — but with Nature, no such understanding is possible. There, only humility, a bowed head, and a heart filled with friendship and reverence will bear fruit."
Renowned writer and Amritakeerti awardee Sri C. Radhakrishnan, who graced the occasion as a distinguished guest, offered a moving tribute. "Everything begins with Amma," he said. "Just as every particle on this Earth is interconnected, Amma is able to communicate with each and every being — and that is something truly magnificent."
Amma was honoured by distinguished guests — Ernakulam District Collector G. Priyanka IAS; City Police Commissioner Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar IPS; NPOL Director Duvvuri Seshagiri; music composer Rahul Raj; Ernakulam DFO Manu Sathyan; Gopalakrishnan Kunhi, Executive Director of Tantra Vidya Peetham; Dr. P. Nandakumar, National Secretary of Samskrita Bharati; Gopal K. Nair, Chairman of Nirmal Jyothi Public School; and Ranjith Kanchilal.
The Amritavarshini 2026 souvenir was received from #Amma by Sri C. Radhakrishnan, who then formally released it by handing it over to City Police Commissioner Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar IPS. As part of the festival, sarees were lovingly distributed to AmritaSREE members registered across Ernakulam district — another quiet step in the Math's enduring work for women's empowerment.
The day flowed gracefully into meditation, bhajans, and Amma's darshan, with thousands streaming in from within the district and beyond. Annadanam and every facility have been arranged with love for all who come to the Brahmasthanam.

Im not a devotee of Amma. Never met her but tears of joy pours down my face for in her i see my beloved Kali Maa who raises her right hand and tells me " Fear not my child, i will always be with you". Whoever spreads love, that one is God. Whoever spreads kindness, that one is God. Whoever spreads compassion, that one is God.
