Imagine bowling all day long (in a test match) with such a runup ,when you know most of the bowls would either be defended or left and still giving 100% , clicking almost 90 miles+ per hour on every delivery.. Man, that requires some serious patience and dedication! Take a bow Legend!

I was at the Eden gardens, his run up was very close from our seat, just insane good quality raw fast bowling

I absolutely hated him back then due to the way he dominated the India batters in this test match but now i feel fortunate to have watched this fast bowling legend in action live.They don't make such fast bowlers with a swag anymore.Love from India

Now that's why i love shoaib akhtar......not because of his ridiculously scary pace but for his effort, bowling his heart out, sitting here i really feel sorry for the batsmen who had to face him....poor tailenders.

I believe he must have crossed the 100 mph barrier in this innings, when you see players like Azharuddin and Dravid being clearly beaten with pace, you must admit this is something serious.

He had such a good action at the start of his career when he wasn't bulky, I mean look at that arm speed and the run and follow through, everything was perfect
