Hi everyone! My lovely subscribers! 💖
I know it’s been a while and I don’t usually post on here so I don’t know if anyone will even read this but I wanted to catch up and explain my absence, what my plans are, and be a little vulnerable. So here we go….
I haven’t posted much in the last few years for a lot of reasons. I felt an inspiration burn out. I had moments of low confidence in my editing. Comparing myself to other people. Worrying about views. Not knowing what to edit. If my editing was good enough anymore? Self doubt. All the things I am sure other video editors think about.
But also I did not prioritize editing (youtube wise) in my life for a while as well. I am trying to balance all my stuff in my personal life: family, a social life, work (trying to kickstart my career), and other things. Guess that’s what it’s like to be an adult lol. And also having a little problem with my gaming laptop as well.
I was also going through a lot mentally with my anxiety and doing everything I can to cope and take care of myself and do what is best for me.
I want to edit. I miss it! I want to be a video editor professionally so while I am not posting on here, I have been doing the best to take my skills and make it my job but it hasn’t been easy.
I have inspiration and still want to create videos here and I am determined to make it a priority (I know I say this a lot but it is the truth) I have lots of ideas I still want to make. It may not be frequent but it will be something.
I have been watching my old videos and try to get back into the mindset of why I started my channel in the first place. Not for views or subscriber count, just a safe space for me to create content that I love.
But I would love to know what type of videos you would like to see? Should I upload YouTube shorts? Create a TikTok?
If anyone reads this I want to let you know I love you all and your support has always been so appreciated and means so much to me ❤️ thank you for reading!
