A federal judge has put the brakes on a $1.776 billion fund created to compensate people who claim they were unfairly targeted by the government.
Judge Leonie Brinkema, a Clinton-appointed judge, extended a court order Friday preventing implementation of the fund, concluding that public assurances from administration officials were insufficient to eliminate concerns that it could later be revived.
She pointed to Trump's comments that he was "disappointed that something is not going forward," suggesting this was evidence that the fund may "rear its head" at some point in the future.

DNI Tulsi Gabbard says newly declassified evidence shows U.S. taxpayers funded more than 120 biolabs in over 30 countries.
That includes labs in Ukraine, where prior intelligence warnings flagged concerns about dangerous pathogens and vulnerability amid Russia’s war.
Gabbard says ODNI will now work to identify the labs, track what pathogens they contain, and end dangerous gain-of-function research overseas.

I've always found it kind of odd that we can charge someone with 'obstruction of justice', yet we can pay someone handsomely for it at the same time.

from a farmer who has gone through dozens of pairs of leather gloves working on the farm, they get wet from water, sweat whatever. when they dry out they shrink a lot. you have to struggle to even get them on and they do stretch back out. Hence leather gloves soaked in blood and sweat sitting in an evidence locker will dry out and shrink considerably.

That glove was recovered from the scene covered with blood. The glove was goat skin (kid gloves). Skin gloves SHRINK WHEN THEY GET WET. It was pure theatre and no one has ever called him out for it.

The whole world knew he was guilty. I don't know how lawyers can live with themselves when they know they are getting murderers off their charges. They are just as evil as the criminals they protect.
