A driver cut me off earlier today and I reacted angrily, beeped my horn and cursed at him... and, here, this man has wholly forgiven someone for the worst thing that could ever happen. He's taught me a valuable lesson.

Forgiving someone who destroyed your world isn’t weakness—it’s the purest strength a human can show. This father didn’t just forgive a killer, he refused to let hate claim his soul too. That’s a kind of power most of us can’t even imagine.

“Justice is not for the victims it’s for the community” well said

30:20 ‘he’s impacted my life just as much as my parents have, just as much as my siblings, and just as much as my children and my wife, he’s in that same circle. And what do I do with that?’ Wow. Very powerful. Incredibly brave man

"He's impacted my life the same as my parents, my siblings, my children - he's in the same circle. What do I do with that?"

Anyone saying he isn’t genuine, doesn’t see him. Look at the lack of life in his eyes. Especially in comparison to the pictures of him in his youth. He’s anxious and he tries to mask his guilt with facing it matter of factly because you can tell it’s the only way he thinks he will survive this mentally. But he is not there. He is traumatized by what he did. It’s in the eyes. He is checked out. And it’s sad to see. Shoutout to the father for extending his grace and forgiveness. A powerful man.

I honestly got shocked that he came in smiling. Then when they hugged and he called him brother.. That dad is pure strength. I'm glad he managed to move on and not get stuck so they can start to heal whats impossible to heal.

The odds of exactly 4 birds sitting there looking at them during the interview…. That’s just insane gave me goosebumps….

"I sometimes check in and take care of his family" Not only did this man forgive this inmate for kiIIing his children, but he actively chooses to take care of the inmate's family members since he's incarcerated. That's an angel from above

When fighting monsters, be careful not to become one yourself... This father is strong.

asking the father how the kids looked after being hit was wildly unnecessary and disrespectful

"Do I keep hating him, what's it going to do, it's not going to do anything". Very powerful and reflective for all of us.

God this interviewer is secretly loving every minute of this, asking the father to describe the crime scene and all the grizzly details, the constantly reminding the father “your children are dead” every two seconds, give it a rest bud
entropymusic1205 (6 months ago)
"You‘re right alongside the man who took your children. Is that easy?" These questions are incredibly disrespectful
McGoofy1001 (9 months ago)
15:11 As a first responder, talking about the scene is the absolute last thing that any of us wants to do. But, it's the only way that we move on and grow as people. Good job, dad.
Mikey_2_Times (8 months ago)
That dad’s mental strength is something to be admired.
