BlewOffMyLegOff
Haven’t posted in a while, so apologies. Keeping it short back in March I had an alcohol related mental breakdown. As of writing this post, I’ve been sober for 6 months. I can’t make promises about making videos again, but just wanted to say I’m not gone.

So without spoiling the next run, I’d like your guys consensus on what counts towards a no upgrade run
Vote on a poll:
No weapon upgrades No armor upgrades No to either of the above

Slight change to upload schedule going forward,
I've been getting busier with my job, Wednesdays aren't really convenient for uploads at the moment. I'll be shifting the challenge runs to Fridays for the foreseeable future. Thanks for the understanding and hope you all enjoy this week's video.

Also do Lonesome Road before Dead Money. Get the hand of Rawr, keep it (don't craft the gauntlet yet) when you go into DM it won't be removed because it's a quest item. Then find a workbench and craft it. Now you got a fine ass endgame unarmed weapon that shreds ghost people like cheese. You need 75 repair btw

Aside from perk benefits, I always play OWB before Dead Money because IMO, it makes more sense in a narrative context. It sort of turns all the lore concerning Father Elijah in Big MT into a kind of foreshadowing, and makes me more anticipated to finally meet him in the Sierra Madre.

The additional perks and implants you can get from the big empty also help, notably the implant that removes radiation from water and gives food better healing

It gets interesting from a story point of view to play the DLC in reverse cause it makes Elijah seems like the hidden big bad guy and Ulysses a secondary character existing only to foreshadow "future" dlcs.

I always do OWB first for the perks you get: increased STR, immunity to poison, head & torso can no longer be crippled & tons of XP, not to mention you corner the Mentats market.

If I ever need a damn good dose of sheer panic, I will play DM again and try this.

I'm surprised just how many people don't know that the BoS bunker is designed to be used as a player home after dead money. All of the containers (including the headless corpse) can be used for safe storage.

Of course, who wouldn't love a super secret research complex as a hidden lair to store all the goodies ....

I just do them first because Dead Money is a chore and Old World Blues is fun.

Christine’s sniper is why I always finish OWBs first

This blew my mind. I've played through Fallout New Vegas and the dlc's countless times, but I never thought about doing this.

I always play dead money dead last, no matter when I play it. It's instinctual.

Great idea. I would always walk the 20 minutes back to Novac
