Florida Man In Florida
"Greg was the ultimate family man who loved his wife, children, grand children, inlaws, pets, music, and his church so very much. Greg was a man taken far too early from this earth, and like many others, did not deserve what the world did to them throughout the last few years with lockdowns, endless quarantining, and all of the insanity and fear that followed. Greg was a man who was intentioned to thrive during his retirement, but unfortunately the world decided to turn its back on him. In brief consolation, I am happy that Greg and his wife Jane were able to enjoy a few years worth of retirement and travel out on the open road with their travel trailer, but am saddened that it had to be cut so short. May Greg forever rest in peace and may his family and friends find comfort in knowing that their Father, Husband, and Grandfather, and friend is now in far better place. My only wish is that there would be the ability to have just one more conversation with Greg. In loving memory, my friend, Greg, you will forever be missed, and may we one day meet again, I hope." - Signed, Guillotines For Globalists

I had a similar problem. Part of the plunger casting was broken. Fairly easy to replace the part which can be found at Lowes or Home Depot. Just replace it. About $7. Good luck!

I had the SAME problem. I used lubricating oil such as WD40, and that fixed the problem!

It happened to me as well, I was wondering if it's a default in this brand of lock? It sure sucks being locked out of your own home.

Mine just started doing this sticking crap and not wanting to let’s us open the door. I dismantled and used degreaser to clean and WD40 to lube up. I set the mechanism pointing up on my work bench and popped with a hammer a few times. Works perfect now.

I have the same problem. I tried dynamite but that didn't work. The house is gone but the lock is still stuck.

I just had the second plunger break on my front door, also under porch with a storm door. I could not get the door open, I took the handles off and while using a screwdriver trying to retract the plunger and a huge screwdriver turning the plunger I finally got the door open. Thought I was going to have to get my sawzall out.
