Professor of Rock Hey Music Junkies, just a heads up. I recently had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with one of my favorite YouTube music reactors Black Pegasus. And we recorded a lot of first-time music reactions for both of our channels. So be on the lookout for some pretty cool content dropping in the coming weeks. BP just posted our first reaction video today on his channel about an unreleased track from the King of Pop. Go check it out and show Black Pegasus some love. (1 month ago)

Poll: What is your pick for the greatest SINGALONG CLASSIC SONG of the 70s?

Bob Seger was/is the greatest. Never got the recognition he deserves.

Bee Gees took all the flak for the disco craze. They were hired to specifically write disco songs and that’s what they did. And like most of the songs they wrote, they nailed it, whether you love or hate disco.

This is why I kinda laugh when people talk about Taylor Swift writing songs about her exes. Try writing songs at your ex and singing it at them while the ex gets to write and sing his own version right back at you. Cherry on top, they'd have to perform each other's songs as well. Just writing songs about your ex kinda pales in comparison.

The best opening vocal ever in Rock and Roll? "When the truth is found to be lies! You know the joy within you dies!"" Grace Slick - "Somebody to Love," 1967

Nugent's Cat Scratch Fever, Foreigner's Foreigner, Queen's News of the World, Rush's A Farewell to Kings, UFO's Lights Out, Foghat Live, Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell, and Steely Dan's opus Aja were all released in 1977. What a time to be a teenager!

The 70's was THE best era for music. No contest.

I grew up in the 70s and I have to admit it was the best era to grow up in. The music was so good compared to today.

hey Professor. I was the bass player on Black Betty in Starstruck. It blows my mind how that this song just keeps on living. Thanks for your detailed background on the single. Frankly you’re dead on it even down to the image of the original 45. The flipside is pretty good too. A song by Bill called. I should’ve known, with my first recorded bass solo!

Another thing we've lost when weve gone to CDs over vinyl and then to downloads/Spotify: the absolutely beautiful classic album cover art. Plus poring over the lyrics sheet.

Rumors was an incredible achievement. One of the best albums, start to finish, ever laid down.

60s and 70s music was almost perfection. There is alway some good music around, but we, those born in the 50s are spoiled by the wealth of GREAT MUSIC.

The 2 songs from 1977 that I would have added:
