No lady, this story IS one sided. The government has no right to place cameras or other surveillance equipment on PRIVATE PROPERTY without a valid court order.

Trespassing and surveillance without a court order......they need to be sued into non-existence.

Update. They ruled in the landowner’s favor. TWRA now needs a warrant to place cameras on private property.

Anyone at all puts something on my property, it's a gift. You will never see it again.

Imagine if the government went after actual criminals with this tenacity.

"unannounced checks and patrols" on private property sounds an awful lot like illegal search and seizure.

This is outrageous. The government can't sneak onto your property and put cameras there without a warrant. Full stop.

How can you charge someone for removing illegal surveillance that was installed on his property? Make it make sense.

Surveillance of private property without a valid warrant stating probable cause is illegal in every state.

The only thing that makes this issue become complex is the attempt to not acknowledge that this man's rights are being stepped on, and law enforcement is being allowed to WAY overstep their boundaries.

its not complicated at all, we have criminals in our government who think they can do whatever they want.

How can you steal something on your own property. Seems to me like they gave it to him.

My friend found hidden cameras on his land he uses for fishing and hunting. There were around 15 of them, so he called his local police and they found out they were owned by Fish and game. The police removed them and found photos of the people that placed them illegally. All were charged with trespassing, damage to private property, and illegal filming. In order to place those cameras on private property, they would need a court order to go on the land and place them. Whenever you find cameras like that on your property, take them down and destroy them or toss them in the trash

Caught TWRA snooping around my property. Gave that man a heart attack when he walked by my blind and I asked him exactly wtf he thinks he's doing on private property. Apparently I'm not allowed to fish my own pond without a license even though it's not a natural waterway, I dug it, lined it and I stocked it. The way he made it sound was that they own every drop of water that falls from the sky, every animal and every stick in Tennessee. TWRA has waaay too much authority.

The camera would have been in a safe in my attorney's office when they came looking for it.
