Hey, I'm Cassius "Ash" Dakota. A filmmaker who explores the theme of the fleeting beauty of life.

Through my short films, I tell stories about the people we lose and the versions of ourselves we outgrow.

My debut film “This Is How I’ll Remember Us” has been recognized not only for several student film festivals, but has also helped autistic individuals to navigate the nuances of friendship. My other films, such as 'the first 18 years of my life' and 'Killing Time' serve to show how quickly time can pass.

My works are most inspired by traditional filmmakers such as Wes Anderson, as well as new wave creators, like Natalie Lynn.
