Gamester81 I am overwhelmed by the love and support that I have received from my recent video. I've received over a 1,000 comments and I'm trying my best to respond to each one. I know that life can get hard but we have to stay strong together. I'm praying for others as well, and thank you again. God bless you all. (1 year ago)

Now kids...that's not how you handle a disc in a PS1.

Actually the 1st PS1 revision also had those compose A/V connectors on the back.

Before the ps1 came out magazines called it the PSX. It was Sony internal code name for it.

I love that he just tosses everything around like it's nothing valuable.

The SCPH-1001 PSX (and yes, it WAS called a PSX, both online and in print) had the RCA cables (the red, yellow, and white ones)

PlayStation X was the codename given by Sony to the first PlayStation. That's why PlayStation 1 is called PSX.
RobertSmith-gn2he (5 years ago)
It was called the PSX because it was the shorthand acronym that consumer magazines used for it when it was coming out. EGM used to list a game name and system like: Mortal Kombat 3 (PSX). Just find an EGM from that era and you’ll know why.
