An update on the Jobava London course: In response to the excellent feedback we have received since the course's release, Sasha and I have worked hard to make several changes to the course. Those who have purchased the course have free access to the updated version - simply download the files from the course page. A summary of the revisions:
1) Each file has been updated with significantly more textual explanation; we estimate that the new files contain 10x the amount of text than the previous ones. We have attempted to much more carefully explain typical plans, ideas behind every important move, etc. We hope you find the new files easier to work with and more understandable.
2) We have cleaned up some typos and wrong evaluations, and added several new lines that we have faced in blitz games over the past few days.
3) We have added a README.txt file with detailed instructions on downloading, parsing, and working with PGN files;
4) We have also added a database containing the eight most common ideas for White, with a detailed explanation and an example accompanying each one.
Thanks a million to those who have purchased the course, and to those who have offered thoughtful and respectful feedback. I am beyond privileged to have a community that is this supportive and wholesome. Once again, those who have purchased the course can download the new files for free at the course page:

We hope you find the revisions to be helpful. Thank you!!

Folks, I have some very exciting news! Together with GM Oleksandr Bortnyk, we have created a comprehensive course on the Jobava London: 1.d4 Nf6 2.Nc3 d5 3.Bf4. It is an opening that we have both played with great success for many years, and the course is the product of over 100 hours of hard work. We believe that this course will greatly improve your results with the White pieces, whether you are a beginner or a Grandmaster! I will be discussing the course at length on subsequent Twitch streams, and Oleksandr and I will release several YT videos discussing the course in the next few days. Purchase the course (easy-to-download PGN format) for $50 at the following link:

Folks, I am aware that the audio quality on my last video (Test Your Endgames, Part II) was unacceptably bad. I sincerely apologize for that - I am visiting family in CA, and audio is just so ridiculously finnicky. I will make a run to Best Buy today and try to get a Headset with a microphone - I'm pretty sure that will improve the audio quality significantly. I will re-record the video and re-post it later today. My apologies.

"My opponent plays a bit of an enigmatic move" was a very respectful way of saying what you were trying to say.

This is the type of content that beginners like seeing. Direct to the point. There are online content out there by other GMs that discusses really just a vague and outright boring manner including philosophies in life making it sound highfalutin and doesn't really attract the novice players at all.

This was like 10 y/o kid vs. Mike Tyson with a microphone explaining how hard and where he's going to punch next.

The opponent was rated in the 1200s, and he calls him a beginner. What does that mean for the rest of us amoebas and pond scum that are below 800?

He explains his opponents mistakes very humbly and kindly, not arrogant or insulting in anyway. He also makes it simple and straightforward enough for lower levels to understand. Very glad to have found this channel!
