Nat Geo Animals African wild dogs were once widely persecuted across Africa, but now they're drawing safari-goers to some of the continent's most remote landscapes. As interest grows beyond the "Big Five" in places like Botswana, Zambia, and Mozambique, tourism is becoming increasingly tied to the future survival of these endangered predators: https://on.natgeo.com/ANIYTC060626 (2 days ago)

This is only possible for Bonobos because they live on the side of the Congo river that is rich in food and resources. Bonobos can forage in large parties and when they meet other groups of Bonobos they exchange members and sex so they can diversify their genes and prevent inbreeding. With so much food and resources available to their species, Females take charge as they control sex. There is little need for males to fight or compete for dominance so they just take it easy.
