this movie is actually good cause incase you were kidnapped you could learn a lot from this like leaving clues or leaving finger prints etc

Just one person saying “i believe you, ‘ is HUGE! All the evidence she left behind, all the details of where she was held, WOW!! No family support.

I was raped, and I know what it feels like to be scared that they would return and when people don't take any action to protect you. I am so incredibly proud of her and the officer who believed her. To actually push through to get to someone who would listen when people don't believe you despite you doing your best to survive the situation and get them caught is incredibly brave. (To survivors- Even if you didn't you are still incredibly brave to survive through it and I am proud of you!) We need more people like Officer Pinkerton. To have someone who believes you and is willing to fight for you is something every survivor deserves but rarely gets.

I have to watch this movie. My half sister was raped by my father. When she finally got the courage to tell, no one believed her. Not even our mom I am the only one who stood up for her because I myself was a victim of CSA by my father’s brother. We have lost our entire family but we have gained eachother, our freedom and MOST IMPORTANTLY, OUR VOICE! Use your voice even if no one in the world believes you. One day, that person will show up for you with boxing gloves on ready to step into the fight and you will be victorious️

They actually did a good job getting an actress that looks like the victim. That hasn't always happened.

This is cool because I just recently finished a book called "the kidnapping of Christina Lattimore " and it had kind of the same idea. Basically a girl got kidnapped but no one believed her except for a detective and a reporter. Definitely recommend it

As crazy as this sounds getting kidnapped saved her life. She was ready to kill herself the same day, same night she got kidnapped. He made her fight for survival. She was able so solve this case and meet that super supportive detective and in the end she became a cop herself and now she has children and I think grandchildren also.

This really made me feel like I have to be safe no matter what even around my Own family and I have to watch my surroundings I’m a girl and this is almost the worst feeling ever for someone not to believe you. This has taught me a lot

I'm really happy how it went to a beautiful ending, but it also got me wondered in a very sad way ... How many more victims were treated like this? Like there were making it up, dismissed and never given the justice that they deserve

The words * tell me everything , i believe you* made me cry so hard . To be believed is the most important thing after things like this happening to you.

This feeling of not being believed, and not getting taken seriously by anyone after rape, abuse , sexual assualt and other harassments is horrible. It ruins lives everyday.
