All the Black wrestlers are playing different versions of the same character

The Hurt Business was good, but they destroyed it and refused to push Bobby.

The black male wrestlers are always swaggy, got shades, hip hop music, aggressive, and some type of slogan.

9:34 Bianca expressed how she doesn’t like portraying those stereotypes but a writer basically said “do your job”

Triple H doesn't know how to handle black wrestlers' characters, he needs to talk to Shawn Michaels

The Samoan dynasty is the closest thing we have to serious black champions

The reason stereotypes persist in wrestling may be due to the lack of creative investment and marketable Black talent. While wrestlers like Mark Henry, Kofi Kingston, Booker T, The Rock, and Shelton Benjamin have broken past stereotypes through creativity and reinvention, the limited number of these successful figures highlights the industry’s broader failure to consistently offer diverse, nuanced roles for Black wrestlers. This suggests the issue lies more in the lack of opportunities and range in character development than in the wrestlers themselves.

Velveteen Dream was the game changer. He was a legit rockstar like wrestler influenced by Prince. Sucks what happened to him

I feel like Karma was pretty scary during her introduction in the WWE a while back fr. Also, I feel like Ricochet falls into the “rag doll” gimmick like Evan Bourne

I don't know much about Oba Femi, but I really hope he keeps his attitude from NXT when he comes to the main roster. It'd be so refreshing to have a black wrestler in an actual serious feud without the typical stereotypes and stuff

I think WWE needs black writers and I totally agree with giving black people non typical black gimmicks.

A Black, anime inspired character would be fresh! Given how many Black men are into anime, I feel like a superstar with this gimmick would REALLY catch fire if given the proper amount of time and energy
