I lived in my 5th wheel with my two dogs after my husband passed. I thought it would be hard going from a 3 bedroom house but once you downsize is so wonderful

No joke I could live like this and just enjoy life simplest pleasures and the road.

My girlfriend and I traveled through every state in the lower 48 last winter after graduating from college. Our home was a '95 Fleetwood Elkhorn (9ft) on a long box '97 Dodge 2500 Cummins. It took us about four months :) We stayed in Walmart parking lots, truck stops, rest areas, and free campsites most of the way. Incredible experience, and now we can say that we lived together in a camper for four months, and drove it through the heart of most of the biggest cities in the US. The roof peeled back three times, the bed got wet from a few downpours in the south, and the pipes froze when we ran out of propane on an 8 degree night in Vermont. Nothing quite like traveling with your house on your back :)

3 jacks was either due to budget cuts or the weight. I have a 1960s truck camper that origionaly came with 3 jacks but I added another one because it was so unstable. Those kinds of jacks aren't that expensive.

More space than I thought would be there.
Tradekraft (6 years ago)
It has three jacks for stability. Four would wobble if the ground was unlevel. That's why three points are used for shooting benches and camera tripods.
