Lakeland PBS Ever wondered what happens behind the cameras?  You’re invited to go behind the scenes at Lakeland PBS! In celebration of Protect My Public Media Day, we are opening our doors to the community for an evening of exploration, education, and advocacy. Public television belongs to you, and this is your chance to see how we bring local news, culture, and educational programming to North Central Minnesota every single day. What’s Happening: Station Tours: Explore our studios and see the technology that powers our broadcasts. Meet the Team: Chat with the faces you see on screen and the crew working hard behind the scenes. Live News Experience: Get a front-row seat to watch the Lakeland News Update LIVE in-studio! Show Your Support: We’ll have FREE yard signs available (while supplies last) so you can proudly display your support for public media in your neighborhood! Why Attend? Protect My Public Media Day is a national movement to celebrate the local stations that provide essential services—from children’s educational content to emergency alerts and local journalism. Your presence helps show our leaders that local public television matters. This event is free and open to all ages. (4 weeks ago)

With a tied House and a one-seat Senate majority, every vote this week counts. As lawmakers finalize the "finish line" bills, we know our North Central Minnesota community is watching closely at: 🏠 Local Infrastructure: Will the Bonding Bill deliver the funding needed for our regional roads and clean water? 🛑 Fraud Accountability: Is the new Office of Inspector General finally going to become a reality? 💼 Affordability: Where do the final tax relief and healthcare stability measures stand for working families? Beautiful work. At 9:40: it's Grant's culture too, now. The boat doesn't care whether the builder uses a crooked knife or a utility knife. RIP, Mr. Goltz.

Beautiful to watch craft dissolve in to art. And the art become a utensil.
