guys i know this is a stupid mistake but im a teenager who learnt how to bake by myself so cut me some slack but for future people like me, you will know when your preheated oven reaches the desired temperature when the light goes off (if its a newer style of oven it will beep) i made this mistake so many times until i found out how preheating works

Stop scrolling and listen to me. These were the best cookies I have ever made and I can barely boil water.

tip: before u put them in the oven, put it in the fridge for 1-2 hours, it makes them very soft and chewy ! if u want it to last soft and chewy for a long time (put it in the fridge overnight) it really helps ! i also recommend to sift the sugar before putting it inside the batter so that the batter is more smooth and when u bite into it there wont be any clumps! (if its sticky its fine)
