Fred Astaire thanks people for attending his award ceremony - "people that took all the trouble to come here" - as though anyone wouldn't trade their life to attend or have attended. What a darling and talented man! He's so self-effacing and adorable, I just love him.

The man was around 82 when this was filmed. It goes to show what you can look like if you take care of your body and stay supremely physically fit and active throughout your life. It really does slow the aging process.
