Description
Hi friends! I'm Tammy and welcome to Tales From An Empty Nest... I am a nurse for over 20 years, but most importantly, I'm a mom and a MeMe! My kids are all grown up now and out on their own and I'm just trying to figure out where I go from here! It's definitely a process readjusting to being something other than a mom when that's all you've known for so many years! I hope that you will find a second home here on my channel...even if you're not an empty nester like me! Be patient with me while I figure out this whole YouTube thing and we'll cook some good food, tell some stories, have some laughs, and just try to get on living our best lives! I hope you'll come along on this new journey with me!!

Tales From An Empty Nest Last night I found out that Momma Mel passed away, and my heart just sank. If you’ve been around here for a while, you’ve probably seen me mention her or know exactly who I’m talking about. She felt like one of those people you didn’t personally know, but still felt connected to. She brought so much comfort, joy, and inspiration through her cooking and just being herself. Keeping her family and loved ones in my thoughts today. She will be deeply missed❤️ (2 months ago)

The secret to mixing the cocoa mixture is to add just a tiny bit of milk and stir until all dry ingredients are mixed, it will be very thick, then add a little bit more, mix again, then mix in the rest of the milk. Works like a charm.

I've been watching cooking shows since the mid-ninties, and you are the 1st person I've ever seen to cover how to make homemade fudgecicles! Thank you!

Even though I'm not American and have never met anyone with a strong American accent, I find her accent so comforting and encouraging

Coconut cream would work for this I bet.

I find that a little boiling water added to the cocoa powder dissolves it completely to a liquid, and then anything added to it blends easily. Just enough to absorb all the powder. It doesn't dilute the mixture.

Love your Southern accent and your lovely voice. Thanks for the recipe!

Looks delicious! I am so tired of the trash ingredients to ice cream and other frozen treats that are in the grocery stores. It's so much better making it from scratch. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

Just a little tip if you want to try it. Get a batter dispenser like you would get for pancakes. Put your mix in there and then push the button and the liquid will come out the bottom.

I can’t wait…now I can have my favourite frozen treat and make it lactose free!
